Snowshoeing

Rentals

• Snowshoe rentals are available at the Parks Division District Office in Rocky Mountain House.
• Book snowshoe rentals by phoning 403-845-8309.  To be connected toll-free in Alberta, dial 310-0000 followed by the phone number.  From a cell phone, dial the toll-free code (*310 for Roger's Wireless or #310 for Bell & Telus) followed by the phone number.
• Rates are $10 for a 2-day rental for an individual.  The family rate is $25 for 2 days.  Group rates are also available.

Interpretive Programs

• Guided interpretive programs can be booked by community groups or for work socials.   We have environmental education programs for schools too: Winter Ecology, Winter Recreation or Winter Survival.
• The cost is $3/person (minimum $40 fee, including GST).  This includes snowshoe rental.
• As well as snowshowing, topics can include:
• • Winter survival (shelter building, survival skills)
  • Winter nature (wildlife tracking, winter wildlife)
  • Winter fun (snow golf, geocaching)
