Liquor Ban In Effect: May. 16 - May. 20, 2013

There will be a temporary liquor ban in Cypress Hills Provincial Park from 12:00 noon on Thursday May 16, 2013 until 6:00 p.m. on Monday May 20, 2013. The ban applies to all campgrounds and group campgrounds within the park. The ban prohibits possession and consumption of liquor.

This trail starts at the south end of Elkwater Campground. Climbing steadily through mixed wood and lodgepole pine forest, the trail ends at Murray Hill Road at the top of the plateau. There is an informal viewpoint one third of the way up, overlooking Elkwater Lake.
