The Boreal Centre for Bird Conservation (BCBC) functions as the visitor centre for Lesser Slave Lake Provincial Park.  BCBC is a Certified Gold LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) building with many green features like geothermal heating and cooling, water conservation and green building materials.  It has

  • Washrooms
  • Exhibit area
  • Meeting room rentals
  • Nearby interpretive trails

The Nest is hostel-style accommdocation located near the BCBC.  Although intended primarily for use by researchers, the facility can be booked by other visitors if available.  It can also be used for corporate retreats.
