Before applying to host an event in one of our parks, review the information below to ensure your event is safe and set up for success.
Applications must be submitted at least 30 days before the event start date and no more than one year in advance. Once submitted, you will receive an email confirmation that your application was received.
All applications undergo a merit review before a decision is made. Application reviews can take between 30 days and up to 90 days from May to September.
Once your application has been submitted, you will receive a confirmation email and an Alberta Parks Permitting Officer will be available if you need assistance.
Please note:
Groups, and other select commercial and recreational activities, on Crown Land outside Provincial Parks, Provincial Recreation Areas, or Wildland Provincial Parks may require an access permit or provincial authorization. Please visit group activities on public land for more information.
