By investigating the park using their senses and curiosity, students discover how plants, animals, and people are connected to the land and how living things use places that people have changed.
In this immersive field experience, students become Park Detectives and work together to solve a park mystery. Using observation, movement, and playful investigation, students gather evidence from the park itself. They uncover signs of animal activity and seasonal change and learn how the local environment meets the needs of living things.
This program encourages inquiry, collaboration, and imaginative thinking while helping students build meaningful, place-based connections to the natural world.
