Alberta Tourism, Parks and Recreation is proposing to develop a new campground and upgrade facilities at Carson-Pegasus Provincial Park.
Carson-Pegasus Provincial Park is located 27 km north of Whitecourt and 200 km northwest of Edmonton.
The purpose of the project is to accommodate increased demand for recreational opportunities with a proposed new campground and upgrades to existing park campgrounds and facilities.
Between January 19 and March 19, 2009, Albertans were invited to provide their feedback on the proposed new campground development and facilities upgrades. Two open houses were held to provide information on the project and gather feedback, in Edmonton on February 5, 2009 (Percy Page Centre) and Whitecourt on February 6, 2009 (Visitor Information Centre). Thank you to everyone who attended the open houses or provided their written feedback!
The public review and comment period for the Carson-Pegasus Provincial Park facility upgrades project is now complete. Thank you for providing your feedback. Your ideas and suggestions will help determine the future of the proposed campground and facility upgrades at Carson-Pegasus Provincial Park.
A final decision will be made this spring once all comments have been considered.
This website will be updated as new information becomes available. Please check back often for updates. While the public comment period is over for this project, you can visit Public Consultations/Notifications to learn about other opportunities to participate.
*Disclaimer: We thank you for providing your input. Those who submit feedback will not be contacted individually regarding their submission.
