Due to the risk of COVID-19, Alberta Parks has put a number of measures in place since last year to reduce spread. We expect these measures will support a smooth and safe opening to the 2021 camping season.
Shower facilities remain closed.
Group camping will remain closed as well, unless and until AHS group gathering restrictions are eased.
Shared sites with shared amenities like picnic tables and fire pits will have one half of the site closed – the same as last year.
If any cancellations are initiated by Alberta Parks due to COVID-19 restrictions, campers will be notified and receive a full refund – including the reservation fee.
Please continue to follow all Alberta health guidelines when visiting our parks and remember to bring your own hand sanitizer.
Stay home if you’re sick or are experiencing symptoms including cough, fever, shortness of breath, runny nose or sore throat that are not related to a pre-existing illness or health condition, or are otherwise required to isolate or quarantine.
Stay at least two metres away from anyone who does not live with you.
Wash or sanitize hands before and after visiting shared amenities with high-touch surfaces such as bear bins, self check-in stations, boat launches, docks, water fill stations, and dumping stations.
If applicable, use washroom facilities in your recreational vehicle whenever possible to reduce traffic at shared-use facilities.
Clean or cover the picnic table with a cloth or sheet in your site before using it.
Dispose of trash in receptacles provided or take it with you to reduce risk for staff and other users.
