Carson-Pegasus Campground

Details: Visitors are reminded to keep an attractant free site when visiting the park to reduce the risk of bear encounters. 

Although an advisory is in place for this area, bears can be encountered at any time. To avoid a surprise encounter with a bear:

• Make plenty of noise and travel in groups.
• Be aware of your surroundings. Look and listen for bears and their signs.
• Keep your pet on a leash.
• Carry bear spray. Make sure it’s easily accessible and know how to use it.
• Secure attractants like food, garbage, pet food and any scented items in hard sided vehicles or bear proof lockers.
• Learn more about bear safety.

Report sightings and incidents to 310-LAND (5263).

Details: The Campground Booth and Carson Cove Store are now closed for the winter.

Details: Campground Loops A, B, C, D, E and F are now closed for the season. Campground Loops G and H are first-come, first-served for the winter camping season. Power will remain on for the winter. Please bring your own water and firewood. Payment by cash and cheque can be made at the self-registration vault located just past the Seawall Parking Lot, at top of hill from the beach. Power sites are $30 and Walk-in Tenting sites without power are $22.

Details: The water system was shut down as of September 14. The shower houses, campground water taps, and the sani-dump station are not available. Please bring your own water.
