Cooking Lake-Blackfoot Provincial Recreation Area

Alberta Parks

Officially named Cooking Lake-Blackfoot Grazing, Wildlife and Provincial Recreation Area, this park supports a variety of outdoor recreation activities, as well as grazing and Indigenous and seasonal hunting.

This short connector trail follows the boundary fence with Elk Island National Park and runs through the Blackfoot Lake drainage on Norris Creek. It's named for the many blue herons that frequent the area.
