Officially named Cooking Lake-Blackfoot Grazing, Wildlife and Provincial Recreation Area, this park supports a variety of outdoor recreation activities, as well as grazing and Indigenous and seasonal hunting.

Details:Garter snakes have begun their seasonal migration. Please watch for snakes on roadways.
This trail has excellent wildlife viewing opportunities. The south portion (2.4 km) is for skiing in winter and hiking/mountain biking in summer. The north portion (1.1 km) is for both equestrian use and skiing in winter. It is normally set with one track. During the first two weeks of February, the northern section is set with two tracks for the Canadian Birkebeiner Ski Festival and equestrian use is not permitted.
