10am-7pm – Take-a-Hike challenge
Express your love of being outdoors by taking a hike! You or your family can join to help us succeed in our goal. Walk, bike or run and let us know how far you travelled on Miquelon’s trails for a chance to win a prize! Throughout the day, you can report your total at the Park Visitor Centre.
10am–7 pm – Robby the Robin Scavenger Hunt
Want a fun family activity to do while travelling the park during the Take-a-hike challenge? Try and find Robby the Robin. Grab a scavenger hunt sheet from the Park Centre, then travel around the park to try to find Robby. Show us where Robby was by taking a picture with Robby at each place. After you’re finished, you’ll be entered into a draw to win a prize for our Take-a-hike Challenge!
10am-4pm – Parks Picture Frame
10am – Parks Day Nature Hike
Come for a hike with a Park Interpreter on the back-country trails. You can rack up kilometers for the challenge, while learning about some of the amazing plants and animals that make Miquelon home.
12:30pm – Celebration Cake give-away
12-4pm Partner Organization Booths
1-2pm Join a Weed-Pull
1-3pm – Nature Face Painting
Come inside the Park Centre for your chance to have your face painted on the wild-side! Please note, our painters are not trained experts.
1-3pm Paint-a-truck
Join our Park Maintenance Team in painting their mini truck. Want to paint a Moose on the wheel? Write “Happy Parks Day” on the bumper? Or go silly with your brush on the truck door? Go for it!
