Peppers Lake Provincial Recreation Area is located 84 km southeast of Nordegg off Highway 734. Visitors are encouraged to explore the lake by canoe or electric-powered boat and try their hand at fishing for trout. For land exploration, enjoy the trail that encircles the entire lake. Those looking to explore the area on horseback will find a dedicated equestrian staging area located just 2 km away at Peppers Lake Staging Provincial Recreation Area.
This site is maintained by the Friends of the Eastern Slopes Association, a non-profit organization that operates campgrounds through positive and proactive volunteer efforts. Purchasing a FOESA annual membership is highly encouraged and appreciated to help operate and maintain this location.
The road to Peppers Lake is a gravel road that can be a bit rough, though it is suitable for most vehicles. This is a user-maintained site. Garbage receptables, toilet paper, and hand sanitizer are not provided. Please ensure that you bring firewood, drinking water, and a map of the area if you plan to visit as phone reception is not available. Campers must pack out all garbage and recyclables.
While campers may take advantage of the proximity to off-highway vehicle (OHV) trails, off-loading or operating OHVs inside the park is strictly prohibited. OHVs must remain on trailers until they reach the nearby trail systems.
