Peppers Lake Staging Provincial Recreation Area is located 84 km southwest of Nordegg on Highway 734. There are a handful of camp sites that are set up for equestrian users. Hitching rails and access to nearby equestrian trails are available, making this a great location to stage your equestrian backcountry adventures.
This site is maintained by the Friends of the Eastern Slopes Association, a non-profit organization that operates campgrounds through positive and proactive volunteer efforts. Purchasing a FOESA annual membership is highly encouraged and appreciated to help operate and maintain this location.
The road to Peppers Lake is a gravel road that can be a bit rough, though it is suitable for most vehicles. This is a user-maintained site. Garbage receptables, toilet paper, and hand sanitizer are not provided. Please ensure you bring firewood, drinking water, and a map of the area if you plan to visit as cell reception is not available. Campers must pack out all garbage and recyclables.
While campers may take advantage of the proximity to off-highway vehicle (OHV) trails, off-loading or operating OHVs inside the park is strictly prohibited. OHVs must remain on trailers until they reach the nearby trail systems.
