Details:The Rock Lake Access Road is subject to sudden flooding during the spring and summer due to rising water on the Wildhay River. Please proceed with caution into the park, especially after heavy precipitation or snow melt from the mountains.
Alberta Parks is monitoring the road; however, river levels can change rapidly.
The Rock Lake Day Use Area is a popular spot for launching boats and paddleboards from Windy Bay. The views of the foothills and Rockies are spectacular from this convenient location. Visitors can fish for lake trout, or hike along the lake shore, or warm up in the cozy picnic shelter next to the woodstove.
