Details:The boat launch at Wabamaun Lake Provincial Park is now closed for the season. It will be re-opened in early May.
The Wabamun Lake Day Use Area is a popular destination for summer recreation, located in Half-Moon Bay where the waters are calmer than on the main lake. Visitors will find two boat launches, a scenic boardwalk, and a big sandy beach with a designated swimming area. There is plenty of space for picnics and games on the grassy areas, along with a baseball diamond and a sand volleyball court. Amenities include a foot wash off shower, outhouses, and flush toilets. Picnic shelters are available to rent and can be booked by calling the store. Kayak and canoe rentals are available at the park store, near the park entrance. During busy periods, a hot concession operates to serve snacks and refreshments. A large parking lot accommodates cars and boat/RV trailers, but on hot days vehicles may be turned away due to capacity. This vibrant area is the perfect spot to enjoy a warm summer day.
