Alberta Free Fishing Weekend - July
July 4 & 5, 2020 is free Family Fishing Weekend in Alberta - no licence required!
- Come give fishing a try in provincial parks with water bodies with open fishing seasons (not in national parks). All Alberta Fishing Regulations apply, like size and catch limits, still apply; be sure to be aware of annual changes to regulations
- This includes all the lakes in William A. Switzer Park - and Jarvis Creek too

- Come celebrate Parks Day from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Enjoy fun, educational, family-oriented events!
- Check out the wildlife displays, win prizes, or visit the mascots and the Alberta Parks horse patrol!
- Give ancient hunting techniques a try with traditional archery and atlatl spear throwers.
- Give lumberjack life a go with cross-cut saws!
- Prize draws at 2:00 at the Visitor Centre
