Details:Ice fishing access is on foot only to Cache Lake, Graveyard Lake, and Blue Lake. Motorized ice fishing access is permitted on Jarvis Lake and Gregg Lake. Take the most direct route to the ice surface. Save the shoreline. Remember – no ice is ever 100% safe. Ice thickness can vary.
Halfway and Graveyard Lake campgrounds are found in William A. Switzer Provincial Park, 3 km west of Hinton on Hwy. 16, 19 km north on Hwy. 40, and a few km southeast on a gravel access road. These two small camping areas include open sites suitable for RVs and tents. Many sites back directly on to Jarvis Creek. Graveyard Lake and Cache Lake are both within short walking distance on interpretive trails, and provide a peaceful setting for paddling or fishing. A stocked trout pond is nearby as well. There are many activities and amenities in the park, including a beach, boat launches, trails, interpretive programs, and showers within short driving distance.

Firewood is available for purchase ($10/bag) at Switzer Park Visitor Centre and Gregg Lake Campground Booth during peak season (hours vary).
WaterWater is available from a hand pump nearby at Cache Lake Campground. Although Alberta Parks strives to maintain water quality, we recommend that you bring your own water.
