A Kananaskis Conservation Pass is required to park your vehicle in Kananaskis and the Bow Valley.

A large campground found in Bow Valley Provincial Park, about 30 km east of Canmore just north of Hwy. 1, off the Hwy. 1X. Sites are well-treed with a variety of options: unserviced, power/water, and walk-in. It is situated along the Bow River for pleasant views of the valley and surrounding mountains. Interpretive programs, concession, playground and showers are available here.

* Reservations can be made 90 days in advance of arrival date.

  • Dump station water available until closing day (weather dependent.)
  • No water will be available onsite at Bow Valley South Group Camps after October 1. Please fill water at Bow Valley dump station.
  • Please Note: Bow Valley Campground has shared breaker boxes located in the following campsites: B-4, B-15, C-4, C-10, C-17, C-26, C-34, D-5, D-10, E-10, E-25B, F-6, F-17, F-27. Campers may be asked to reset the breaker of a neighbouring campsite.

A sewage disposal station is located here. There are two other sewage disposal stations in the park. Check Kananaskis RV Sewage Disposal Stations for a full listing.

  • Water shut off September 19 - May 19. During this time, drinking water, showers, and flush toilets will not be available
