A fresh crisp air inviting you for a bike ride! Please make noise as bears are actively foraging in the park.  

Important Update: Spray Hill (HWY 742) in both directions and Grassi Lakes Trail are both closed due to a rockslide that occurred between Grassi Lakes and Goat Creek trail heads. The area cannot be accessed by vehicle, on foot, or bicycle until further notice. These measures are to ensure public safety.

Advisories

CURRENT CLOSURES: Construction of the Bow Valley Fireguard started within the Canmore Nordic Centre Provincial Park on August 18th, 2025. This work involves mechanical tree removal and forest thinning with log hauling through the park. To ensure the safety of visitors around work areas and haul roads, some of the upper trails may remain closed during this time.
Be alert: the bears are out with sightings reported. Make noise, be aware of your surroundings, travel in groups and don't forget your bear spray! Please report any carnivore sightings (bears, wolves, cougars) to Kananaskis Emergency Services by calling (403) 591-7755.
Seasonal closure on Cold Shoulder ski trail in place to protect the Wildlife Corridor.  
For all emergencies on trail please dial 9-1-1 & report that you're in Kananaskis Country at the Canmore Nordic Centre Provincial Park.
