Located at the eastern edge of Kananaskis and accessed from Highway 541, the Highwood Provincial Recreation Area provides access to the Highwood River. The PRA includes the Highwood River Day Use Area for fishing and picnicking, and the Highwood Group Camping Area, which can be reserved by groups for overnight camping.
