Kananaskis Conservation Pass is required to park your vehicle in Kananaskis and the Bow Valley


This trail provides access to Ha Ling Peak, an impressive landmark that overlooks the town of Canmore. The trail is maintained for the 3.5 km to the saddle, with the final 400 m of distance and 103 m of elevation to the peak on an unmaintained trail, which traverses through loose, rocky terrain.

June 9th: Access from the north via Canmore Hill is closed as noted in the link below. Vehicle access to Ha Ling is only available from the south via Spray Lakes Road/Highway 742/Smith-Dorrien Trail from Peter Lougheed Provincial Park.

Aug 6th: Snow free. Cleared of downed trees.
