May 14th: Trail conditions could be muddy in lower areas and snow/ice covered as elevation increases. Check the forecast before heading out as rain or snow is expected this weekend. Be aware of ice conditions on river and creek crossings and use caution in these areas.

Caution is advised near Macabee as there could be an ice flow/flooded creek crossing south of Macabee connector trail and is not recommended.

At any time come prepared for a variety of conditions. Bring plenty of water, snacks and multiple clothing layers.

Be aware of closures in the area and check advisories before you go.

    Annual Road Closures:

HWY #546: Closed Dec 1 - May 14, west of Sandy McNabb Campground

    Notes:

    • Be aware of avalanche conditions. Current conditions can be found at Avalanche Canada.
    • Dogs must be on-leash within the Provincial Park and Wildland Provincial Park.
    • Practice wildlife safety. Bears are up and active. Travel in groups, make noise on the trail, and keep pets on leash. Carrying bear spray and knowing how to use it is highly recommended, even in winter.
    • Caution is advised for natural hazards such as downed trees. Please report any downed trees on the trails.
    • Potable water at the Sheep Ranger Admin RV Dump-station will not be available to the public until further notice
    • It's tick season! Make sure to check you and your pets when you get home. For best protection, use a bug repellent with DEET.
