This forested trail with occasional views and a beautiful wildflower meadow near the mid-point follows the official Lusk Pass trail for 650 m before using a portion of Baldy Pass and the Baldy-Lusk Pass Connector to regain Lusk Pass trail. Conversely, the initial 650 m section is often combined with the Baldy Pass Trail and Kananaskis Integrated Forest Interpretive Trail to create a loop approximately 5 km in length.
Alternatively after the first 50 m of Lusk Pass Trail, some visitors turn left on the old "Lusk Pass" trail alignment, which is no longer maintained, but is a more direct route to the continuation of Lusk Pass as it heads towards Powderface Trail/Road.
