Sandy McNabb Trail Report

Updated: May 30, 2020

Updated: May 30, 2020 | Print Report

Day Use is permitted. Outhouse facilities are open where feasible - be prepared with your own hand sanitizer and toilet paper. Campgrounds open, starting June 1 at 50% capacity. Second RV units will not be permitted on campsites. We are monitoring our actions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and will adjust as needed.

    Notes:

    1. Vault Toilets are open, however visitors should plan to bring their own sanitary supplies, including paper and sanitizer.
    2. Pack appropriately for changing conditions, including traction devices/hiking poles, and don't forget to dress in layers.
    3. Be wildlife aware! Traveling in groups, making noise on trail, keeping pets on leash and carrying bear spray is highly recommended. See the Wildlife Safety page for more information.
    4. Tick season is here once again. Tuck your pant legs into your socks, and check yourself and your pets for ticks after leaving a grassy or wooded area where ticks may live.
    5. Caution is advised for natural hazards such as downed trees and other natural hazards.
