This field study examines the amazing geological history of Kananaskis Country. Traveling south from Barrier Lake, students will explore 3 different programming locations. Each stop represents one chapter in the geology of the Rocky Mountains: deposition, rock formation, mountain building and erosion. Students participate in an activity at each stop which demonstrates the geologic process.
