Some very thin spots exist, with some exposed dirt and rocks in a few places, as well as some brush, and there are some significant dips from the water crossings.  The last almost 2km's (the Blue 2) were trackset.

Many early season natural hazards throughout.  On the extra 5 of the 15km loop, there are a few places that melted to bare ground before the recent snowfall, as well as some very thin windblown areas.  Watch for dirt and rocks, abundant exposed brush, and some ice towards the beginning of the extra 5Km's.

Some of the deepest snow in the system, but still some early-season hazards exist: namely uneven surfaces, and a couple dips from water crossings, with some rocks or stones.  The snow is incredibly thin though the trees at the end of the stadium, and no tracks were set in this section.

Use caution and watch for early season natural hazards. Of all trails groomed on Wednesday night, Amos is still in the roughest shape.  There are many very thin spots, with some exposed dirt or rocks, bumps and uneven surfaces, and some exposed brush.

Elbow Loop Public Recreation Trail is open for snowmobiles Jan. 1 to March 31 conditions permitting. 

Elk Pass has a good early season base at higher elevations and though the recent snowfall has improved the situation, the first few km's is still fairly thin, particularly from the Trailhead to the bottom of the first big hill, and the steep hill leading down to the Fox Creek junction.

Primary work includes realignment of 125 m of the 'golf course climb' to create a sustainable grade, reducing from 20% to 12%.

Use caution, especially if descending, due to bumps and multiple ice hazards; the roughest part of the trail is the steep hill about a third of the way down, and for a few hundred meters below this hill.  However, there are thin spots, bumps and uneven surfaces, and a little exposed brush throughout.  One grooming pass (no track setting) was made to access higher elevations on Dec 9th.

Patterson has a good early season base.

Groomed Dec 9th from Lynx to Lookout only, with tracksetting taking place only between Packers and Lookout.  Below Packers the snow thins significantly.  North of Lynx was groomed with the snowcat on Dec 16th; expect early season conditions with a thin base, uneven terrain, and some rocks or dirt in this section.

Watridge Lake trail was groomed and trackset in its entirety and condition is improving with some un-even surfaces and a few bushes still remaining.  The spur trail down to Watridge Lake itself has a very thin with exposed ground by the lake. The new snow has covered most dirt and stones but brush poking through the tread and trackset can be found along the edges throughout and across the entire trail in spots between the heli-pad parking and the main parking lots.   

Walkers and bikers, stay to the edge of the trail.

Wheeler has a very thin base, especially the northern half, and it was not quite fully trackset.  There will be pavement at the bottom of the set tracks in a few places, though some flurries are forecast overnight and this may cover the situation.

A good base exists at higher elevations, but it is quite thin at lower elevations.  On and below the steep S turn hill, and especially the lowest km of the trail, may have some exposed dirt or rocks, as well as a little exposed brush.  Trackset to the Boulton Ski Parking lot.
