Join the Park Interpreters and learn about the freshwater habitat of Beaver Lake in the Park and the incredible habitat it creates within the ecosystem. Discover why a healthy lake matters and how watersheds impact the lakes and rivers across regions.
Try your hand at dipping for aquatic species and minnows and see if you can identify them. Or learn about aquatic mammals that call our lakes & shorelines home.
Plus, learn some key water safety tips for recreating on the beach, as your paddle, or are boating on the lake this summer!
And while you’re here — pack your beach chair and spend the day enjoying one the 2026 Alberta Wake Tour competition happening here at the Day Use Beach too!
Tickets / Registration
All Alberta Parks programming is on a drop-in basis and for park visitors of ALL AGES. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
