Directions

Fidler-Greywillow Wildland Provincial Park includes a portion of the north shore of Lake Athabasca, as well as a number of islands. The park is approximately 45 km northeast of Fort Chipewyan, and is accessible by only floatplane or boat in the summer and snowmobile in the winter months. There is no summer road access to Fort Chipewyan from Fort McMurray, however there is a winter road access in the colder months. This location has no designated campsite, please be respectful with random camping.

  • Permitted activities may vary within a park. Please confirm details with park staff.
    • Access: Access to Fidler-Greywillow in summer is by floatplane from Fort McMurray. Visitors can also fly to Fort Chipewyan and hire a boat to go into the park. (There is no summer road access to Fort Chipewyan from Fort McMurray. The park is approximately 45 km north of Fort Chipewyan.)     • Random backcountry camping is permitted in this park. There are no campsites or facilities, and no permit or fee is required. Review our random backcountry camping page for restrictions and recommendations on where to set up camp.
