The Great Boreal Forest

The Boreal Forest is home to many different creatures, all trying to survive in an incredible northern environment.  Come explore the interactions between these creatures and their habitats.  What do they eat?  Where do they live?  And what do they all have in common?  You'll find out in this great boreal adventure.

This program includes

  • An ecological succession study - from field to forest
  • Hands-on activities that highlight the interactions among the living and non-living elements in the forest
  • An examination of various habitats in the boreal forest and analysis of their suitability for certain species of birds, mammals and amphibians
