Permitted activities may vary within a park. Please confirm details with park staff.

Access: Travel south of Fort McMurray on Hwy. 63 for 53km, and east on forestry road for 10km where a dead end can be used as a staging area. The remaining trail into the park is approximately 8 km, accessible by OHV/snowmobile. For fly-in access and landing aircraft in the park requires authorization from Alberta Parks.
Camping: Random backcountry camping is permitted. There are no developed camping facilities in the park.
OHV Riding: OHV use is permitted on existing trails only. Off-trail use is prohibited.

Natural Region Description	Stony Mountain Wildland Park preserves excellent examples of patterned and non-patterned fens. The park includes part of the range of a small caribou herd. Six provincially rare plants have been identified in the vicinity of Maqua Lake, which is located just a few kilometres north of the park.
