Natural Region Description

Stony Mountain Wildland Park preserves excellent examples of patterned and non-patterned fens. The park includes part of the range of a small caribou herd. Six provincially rare plants have been identified in the vicinity of Maqua Lake, which is located just a few kilometres north of the park.
