75% of the campsites in the 4 Castle Provincial Park campgrounds are first-come, first-serve (FCFS), if folks arrive on Friday they have a pretty good chance of finding a FCFS campsite.
Most of the reservation sites get quickly booked for weekends. Check the web site leading up to your desired weekend for cancellations. We have a 72 hour cancellation policy.
Folks who arrive and cannot find campsites can go to designated camping areas 3 - 5.
There is a designated camping area near each of Beaver Mines Lake, Castle River Bridge, Castle Falls and Lynx Creek Campgrounds.
The designated camping areas remain open until Thanksgiving.
In 2018 camp for free in these areas, with a permit that's downloadable. Campers must follow the conditions on the permit.
