    Castle Tree Cutting Permits are issued by Alberta Environment and Parks staff, Mon - Fri from 8:15 to 4:30. (offices are closed from 12 to 1 p.m.). Tree cutting is not permitted within the Syncline Trail Network or within 100 meters of a waterbody anywhere in Castle Provincial Park.

Notes

    • Please see Recreation Note re: winter access.
    • This day use area is great for lake access and activities like fishing, ice fishing and boating.
    • The lake is universally accessible at this location. 
    • You are expected to bring your own drinking water year-round.  In winter, no water is available.  In summer, water from pumps or taps in the area may be used ONLY for purposes like putting out a campfire. Government of Alberta regulations require that water from pumps/taps like those in the area NOT be used for drinking, cooking or washing (including brushing teeth and washing dishes).
