This gem of Alberta's southern Rockies is in Chinook Provincial Recreation Area, 8 km west of Coleman off Hwy. 3. Chinook Campground features over 90 well-treed sites, including RV-friendly and tenting spots with easy access to beautiful Chinook Lake. In summer you can canoe, kayak or swim in the lake and hike or mountain bike on the trails. In winter enjoy the groomed cross-country ski trails.

Campsites available by combination of first come-first serve and by reservation. Self-registration is in effect with camping fees paid by cash or personal cheque only.
Off-highway vehicle use is not permitted in Chinook Campground.
FirewoodFirewood sales are available from mid May to Labour Day.
WaterYou are expected to bring your own water. Government of Alberta regulations require that water from pumps/taps like the one located here NOT be used for drinking, cooking or washing (including brushing teeth and washing dishes). Water from the pump/tap onsite can only be used for purposes like putting out a campfire.
