Chinook Day Use Area is a favourite spot where visitors can enjoy a small mountain lake and take in the area’s incredible views. No matter the season, the area offers a variety of recreational opportunities. Enjoy hiking trails that loop the lake or venture farther to Allison Creek Falls located outside of the park. Prefer the water? Easy access to the lake makes this a great spot to go for a paddle or float. For a full-day adventure, enjoy the various picnic sites with fire pits nestled among the forest near the lake.

Limited parking can be found close to the lake. Additional parking is available at the top of the hill. A switchback walking pathway connects the upper parking area to the lake, providing a scenic walk to the day use area. Outhouses are available in the lower parking area.
