Learn to Fish

Students reel in a good time as they develop introductory skills to become lifelong anglers.  Our special fishing license allows participants to join in catch and release fishing without the need to purchase their own license.  That doesn't mean they won't learn how to obtain a license though.  In addition to regulatory elements, students will learn about:

  • the bodies of water within and around the Cypress Hills Provincial Park
  • the species contained within our waterbodies and their particular needs
  • the required equipment and techniques to catch fish
  • responsible fishing and contrasting recreation versus consumption

All equipment is provided!
