Survivor Snowshoe

Winter provides an incredible opportunity to go off trail!  Team up with the Cypress Hills to explore new areas via snowshoe.  You don't even have to plan all the trip components yourself as we include a classroom presentation prior so there are no surprises.  Keeping safety at top of mind, during this introductory "survivor" style program your students will:

      • discover new equipment like snowshoes and pulks
      • discuss excursion planning and navigation
      • experience trekking, shelter building, fire lighting, and cooking over their own fires
      • learn about winter adaptations, identify tracks, and consider migration and securing resources

Snowshoes, sleds, shovels, and other equipment is provided.  Appropriate winter wear is required, including insulated winter boots.
