Where: Cypress Hills Provincial Park , Information & Facilities

Details: Winterization of water services for campgrounds, standpipes, flush toilets, and showers will begin September 21, 2026.  Year-round water, flush toilets, and showers are available at the Lakeview Shower House, located at the entrance to Lakeview Campground. Water to campgrounds, standpipes, flush toilets, and showers is not guaranteed or charged between September 14, 2026, and June 1, 2027.

Directions

Beaver Creek Campground is in Cypress Hills Provincial Park, 20 km southeast of Medicine Hat on Hwy. 1 and 30 km south on Hwy. 41. Here there are 20 RV-friendly open sites with full power/water/sewer hookups and access to flush toilets and showers. Walking trails lead to the waterfront and to the town of Elkwater. Cypress Hills is a large park with many amenities and activities to offer. Laze on the beach, go boating on the lakes, hike, bike, or enjoy an interpretive program. In winter enjoy tobogganing, skating, snowshoeing, downhill skiing or cross-country skiing on groomed trails.

Any campsites that are not reserved can be occupied by walk-in campers (visit Visitor Centre).

Firewood

Firewood can be purchased in Elkwater townsite.

Water

Water is shut off for the winter season.

Flush toilets, showers and drinking water are available year-round at the Lakeview shower house, located near the campground registration booth.
