Great Badlands Hike

Calling all adventurers! This lengthy hike is an exhilarating experience that takes you over steep slopes, through coulees, and deep into the badlands.

Throughout your adventure, your guide will explain why the park is one of the richest sites in the world for late cretaceous fossils! Whether it's the fossil's, the serenading songbirds or catching a glimpse of the hardy wildlife that excites you, our longest tour is aimed to satisfy your appetite (bring your own snacks though!) for knowledge both ancient and present-day.

This program is not wheelchair or stroller accessible.

Cancellations may occur due to extreme weather events, including extreme heat and rain.

Meet at: John Ware's Cabin (behind the Cretaceous Cafe)

    Duration: 4 Hours

    Effort: Difficult

    Fee: $35/Adult, $20/Youth (10-17 years)
