Details:The boat launch is damaged due to ice shifting over the winter. Repairs have been planned for this launch pad starting starting the week of May 4.
There is a boat launch on Travers Reservoir at Little Bow Provincial Park, about a 20 minutes drive away from Travers Reservoir Provincial Recreation Area.
Travers Reservoir Provincial Recreation Area is located 18 km south of Vulcan on Hwy. 23, 32 km east on Hwy. 529, and south on Range Rd. 205A. Experience the vastness of the prairie and camp alongside the reservoir. Sites in open grasslands have expansive views in all directions. Canoe, sail or fish on the reservoir, and enjoy the endless skies. This is a wonderful place for stargazing on clear nights.
NOTE: Originally, this provincial recreation area was established on the northeast side of Travers Reservoir. The Travers Dam Campground and Day Use Area are now located at the southeast end of Travers Reservoir.
