The day use are is centrally located under cottonwoods next to hoodoos, with ample parking. The Hoodoo Hut Campground Store is closeby.
There are two cooking shelters with wood burning stoves and power in the day use area. One is always first come-first served. The other can be pre-booked by calling 403-647-2400. If this one isn't reserved, it's also available first come-first served. There is no charge for either facility.
The day use area also contains a playground, numerous individual fire pits, picnic tables and two large group-fire pits.
Firewood is not provided but can be purchased (during summer season).
