Day Use is permitted. Outhouse facilities are open where feasible - be prepared with your own hand sanitizer and toilet paper. Campgrounds open, starting June 1 at 50% capacity. Second RV units will not be permitted on campsites. We are monitoring our actions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and will adjust as needed.
  • Construction Closure - Troll Falls Hiking Trail

      May 5, 2020

      • Effective Date: May 5th 2020 until further notice
      • Where: Troll Falls hiking trail (not the ski trail)
      • Why: Trail repair and improvement will be taking place over summer 2020, and access to the hiking trail is closed. Users should obey all signage in the area.

  • Construction Advisory - Evan Thomas Creek

      March 9, 2020

      • Effective Date: March 9, 2020 until March 27, 2020
      • Where: Contractors will be working in the Evan Thomas Creek downstream of the highway 40 bridge.
      • Why: Cleaning out the gravel trap. Watch for men and equipment operating in the area.  Please obey all signs and directions from the contractor.

  • Construction Advisory - Mount Allan Substation

      August 6, 2019

      • Effective Date: August 6, 2019 until further notice
      • Where: Mount Allan Substation along Stoney Trail.
      • Why: Altalink and FortisAlberta will be conducting operations and further construction south of the substation on the right-of-way and within the boundary; approximately 1 km.

      To ensure that the public will continue to have access to areas beyond the Mount Allan 115s substation, a temporary trail will be constructed for public use along the southeast treeline. Please obey all signage, fencing and staking and stay away from the work site. Dedicated personnel will assist in monitoring and directing foot traffic when required.
