Hangingstone Provincial Recreation Area's Campground has a revitalization project underway.
For the 2025 Camping Season many sites in the campground have been resurfaced, are rebuilt or new, and some former campsites are under reclamation and will no longer be utilized. The campground has been re-numbered and there will be 58 unserviced reservable campsites available when it opens for booking in mid-March on SHOP.AlbertaParks.ca.
