Island Lake Provincial Recreation Area is located 14 km west of Coleman on Hwy. 3. It has about 40 campsites which are suited to RVs. It is a convenient stopping point for travelers exploring the Crowsnest Pass area. This campground offers close access to lakes for canoeing, sailing, boating, fishing or windsurfing.

Permitted activities may vary within a park. Please confirm details with park staff.

OHV riding: There are informal trails in the vicinity. OHV off-loading within the campground and travel to trails from campsites (on access roads) is permitted (for registered campers only).
Snowmobiling: Snowmobiling is only permitted to access the lake and is not allowed elsewhere in the recreation area. Snowmobile staging available is available from the boat launch parking lot.
