Blackstone Provincial Recreation Area is located 30 km north of Nordegg, off Highway 734, along the Chungo Road. The Blackstone Group Use Area is situated along the banks of the Blackstone River.
This secluded site offers direct river access for water recreation including canoeing, kayaking and fishing opportunities just steps from your door. Abundant with bull trout, cutthroat, and mountain whitefish, the river has become a favorite haunt for local anglers and fly-fishing enthusiasts alike. On-site amenities include a cookhouse shelter, fire pits, and a vault toilet.
