This scenic campground is first come first serve only and is built along a narrow channel connecting two portions of Buffalo Lake. Sites are RV and tent-friendly and surrounded by trees. The channel offers good opportunities for shore fishing and is great for young anglers and paddlers. Enjoy wonderful bird watching opportunities.

  • The Narrows Provincial Recreation Area is operated by the Summer Village of Rochon Sands under a lease agreement with the Province of Alberta.  Access to campground is closed from mid-October to early-May.
  • Operating dates weather dependent.
  • Payment by Cash or Cheque only.

Firewood

Firewood is available through campground attendant at a cost.

Water

You are expected to bring your own water. Government of Alberta regulations require that water from pumps/taps like the one located here NOT be used for drinking, cooking or washing (including brushing teeth and washing dishes). Water from the pump/tap onsite can only be used for purposes like putting out a campfire.
