Try-It Event - Snowshoeing

A controlled access zone will be in place in Kananaskis from June 10–18 for the 2025 G7 Leaders’ Summit.
Travel and recreation may also be affected before and after. Check for closures before you go. More info: https://rcmp.ca/en/g7

A Kananaskis Conservation Pass is required to park your vehicle in Kananaskis and the Bow Valley. Ice Safety: Alberta Parks does not monitor ice conditions; learn how to assess them for yourself.

Come try out snowshoeing and explore the trails at William Watson Lodge! Sign up for a 1.5 hour time slot from 9:00am - 4:00pm to try out this fun winter sport. 

What to Wear: a ski jacket & pants, gloves, hat/toque, sunglasses, and additional warm layers of clothing. 

What to Bring: snowshoes, water bottle, sunscreen, nut free snacks and/or lunch. This may vary depending on weather.

Adaptive equipment can be provided if needed.
