Stoney Creek Provincial Recreation Area is located just off Highway 40, giving access to much of Kananaskis Country's outstanding natural beauty and offers a treed group use area. Kananaskis Visitor Information Centre is a short five minute drive away, and a 10 minute drive from Barrier Dam Day Use Area in Bow Valley Provincial Park, with access to canoeing and hiking trails.

60 km west of Calgary on Hwy. 1 & 8 km south on Forestry Trunk Road (Hwy. 40)
