  • Discovery Journal

    Thursday, May 19, 2022 - Monday, September 5, 2022

Explore the plants, animals, and landscapes of Lesser Slave Lake Provincial Park at your own pace! Discovery Journals are full of fun activities for you to try while camping and at home.

Booth staff are distributing Discovery Journals as each group of campers registers at the campground. If you are camping with more than one child, you can request extra copies so that each child has their own.

    Fee: Free!
  • Berry BINGO

    Thursday, May 19, 2022 - Monday, September 5, 2022

Tour the campground and hiking trails in search of edible berries from the forest! When the berries aren't out yet, you can still identify a berry-bearing plant based on its flowers and/or leaves.

    • While it is okay to taste a few edible berries in provincial parks, they are very important food sources for the wildlife and they play an important role in re-seeding the ecosystem, so you must get permission from a Conservation Officer before picking large quantities.
    • Never eat any berry unless you are 100% certain of what it is and that it is safe to eat.

Request a Berry BINGO booklet at the campground booth.

    Fee: Free!
