Join us in partnership with the Boreal Centre for Bird Conservation and the Lesser Slave Forest Education Society for a guided, themed plant walk:
- August 14- Bog walk: A staple of the Boreal Forest, join us on a 1.5 hr guided hike through the unique landscape of a Boreal Forest bog. Explore the plants and animals that make their homes in this unique habitat and how and why the bog formed. Find out how bogs are important to the landscape and what makes them exciting and unique!
- August 21- Marten Mountain - Lily Lake Trail: As the easternmost extent of the foothills Marten Mountain offers another unique landscape to explore! Join us on a 1.5 hr guided hike through the unique landscape of Marten Mountain, explore the plants and animals that make their homes in this unique habitat and some of the unique characteristics of the foothills in the Lesser Slave Lake Provincial Park. (*We will not be going down to lily lake, instead we will be remaining on the trails at the top!)
