  • Operational Service Change (OSC) - Fall Camping Information

    Effective:  September 2, 2025

      The following operational services changes are taking place at Young's Point Campground:

      Tuesday September 2 at 2:00PM

      • Big Horn camping Loop moves to First Come First Serve Self Registration Camping. Payment can be made using the Self Registration envelopes at the vault located at the back of the booth by cash or cheque only.
      • Loop A, Loop B, Loop C, Group Camping, and the Registration Booth close for the season.

      Monday September 8

      • Water is shut down for the season and Shower Buildings are closed. Camping fees are reduced to $32.00/Night.

      Monday October 13

      • Last night of camping available in Big Horn Loop.

      Tuesday October 14 at 2:00PM

      • Camping closes for the season.

  • Bear Warning - Bear in the Area

    Effective:  August 8, 2025

      Where: Campground, Day Use, Group Camp and Trail Heads.

      Details: Be advised that there have been multiple sightings of bears through out the Campground, Day Use, Group Camp and Trail Heads. 

      The bears are feeding on natural food sources and not leaving the area. 

    Although an advisory is in place for this area, bears can be encountered anywhere in the North Region at any time. To avoid a surprise encounter with a bear:

    • Keep all attractants secure from bears including food, garbage, recycling, pet food and any other scented item. Never leave these items unattended.
    • Make plenty of noise and travel in groups.
    • Be aware of your surroundings. Look and listen for bears and their signs.
    • Keep your pet on a leash.
    • Carry bear spray. Make sure it’s easily accessible, and know how to use bear spray.

  • Water Advisory - Boat Launch Advisory

    Effective:  July 10, 2025

      Due to low water levels, the boat launch at this location may not be suitable to launch or load boats.

      Proceed with caution and use it at your own risk.
